Work as a UX designer at Indeed

⚇ Q & A

Q1 : Why do you transition from graphic design to UI/UX ?

A1 : The reason I want to study graphic design is I think it’s interesting. Also, I prefer to arrange and plan logically. So, I want to try other possibilities in the design field.

Q2 : How to accumulate your experience in UI/UX?

A2 :
⍢Method1 — Search and read job descriptions online regularly to ensure that I understand which skills and abilities are needed.

⍢Method2 — Join activities or workshops trying to have a chat with other designers who come from different industries.

During chatting with others, you can learn how they think.

Q3 : There are lots of design tools, would you have some suggestions for beginners to learn?

A3 : At the beginning of the career , design tools might play a crucial role.

But…
The most important thing is how you approach and solve the problems to fulfill the final goal.

Q4 : How to make yourself keep progressing in other related fields?

A4 :
⍢Method1 — Figure out how to teach others simply and concisely. That may help me to check whether I understand.
The process :
Input(what I learn) — Filter(tidy up thoughts)— Output(teach others)

⍢Method2 — Observe products in daily life. To think the reason why they decide to design this function, and why the design I think is good or bad.

Q5 : Working as a UX designer until now, do you set up goals when stepping to the next stage?

A5 : I would say I set a vague goal first, and motivate myself forward. Then, I might meet other people to stimulate me with new ideas.

To do what I haven’t done before is my belief.

⚇ Conclusion

After this online sharing, I’ve learned that no matter where I plan to go, the only thing to believe is I’m on the way.
